Bike Life Interrupted

So it's about week 5 of bike life and it has it's ups and downs....An update on whats been going on... i've been building a new computer that will shatter the current standard of Computing! 8 cores each running at 3.6 ghz 16 GB of RAM totally unnecesary at the moment but it will definatly be used in the near future. more to come on that project.

umm Last week The bike got stolen after I had taken weeks to paint it. It is now an art piece demonstrating the endless cycle theft and need. I had it clipped to a railing I never locked it just had rope with 2 caribiners. It was to keep honest people honest. Which works great!

Until you go to the library where things are free including my bike. HA!

Well I'm not stupid it was more like a social experiment. I wanted to see if people saw an opportunity to steal something would they do it even if they hadn't been looking to steal in the first place. My thinking is people see a bike with a chain or something on it they look over it moving on with their lives. A thief comes prepared with the implements to steal so regardless of what you do your bike will get stolen. In the end I accepted that my bike would get stolen one of these days and theres was really nothing I could do about it but make it a Little bit harder but any lock can be gotten to fairly easily. All in all if somebody steals something from you they probably needed it more than you did. why do we live in a world of Locks and Keys anyways....
